Mon, Jun 6th 2016 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Business Meeting and presentation of the Investment Competition prizes to the Pablo Chacon team from Moreton Hall.

Moreton Hall winners of the Investment Competition 2016.
L-R Alison Matthews (teacher), Lucy Smith, President Mike Griffiths, Angela Jarman (HSBC) and Katie Bibby.
Katherina Christenson and Matilda Carver were unavailable.

Our annual competition sees teams of pupils from local secondary and independent schools invest a virtual £10,000 on the stock market to see who can follow the market and make the biggest return on their initial investment.  The teams may change their portfolio once per month.

Moreton Hall team Pablo Chacon are the clear winners of this year's Rotary Club of Oswestry Investment Competition for Secondary School pupils turning a notional profit of nearly £4,000 from their notional investment of £10,000 - nearly double that of their nearest rivals The Four Brain Cells from St Martins.

Team members Lucy Smith, Katie Bibby, Katty Christenson, and Tilly Carver have lead the field since February when they leapt from around 20th to the top position.  The team will be attending our Rotary Club Meeting on Monday 6th June to accept the Competition Prizes.
