Twinning May 2015

Rotary Club of Guingamp visit to celebrate 50 years of Melksham Rotary

Although members of the Rotary Club of Guingamp visited Melksham in 2014, which meant that it was Melksham Rotarys turn to visit france this year, our twinned club felt that they would like to travel over to us again so that they could be part of the Melksham Rotary 50th anniversary celebrations.  In 2016, we will be travelling to france to celebrate 50 years of our 2 clubs twinning, a relationship well worth celebrating!

During the celebration weekend in May 2015, Melksham members played hosts to our french friends as they stayed with us in our homes, and came out with us to visits to Swindon Railway museum, and lunches in Marlborough and the Kings Arms, Melksham. It was a flying visit, just two nights but there was lots of fun too especially at the fun Horse Race evening where language was no barrier as we threw a dice to gallop up a horse track with our wooden horses, dressed in jockey colours!
