Cheque Presentation Evening - 17th September 2015

Evening dinner at Ivy Hill Hotel when cheques given to various charities by Lord Petre


On Thursday 17th September 2015, at the Ivy Hill Hotel in Margaretting, the Rotary Club of Ingatestone presented cheques amounting to £14,100. The source of this charity money was a Quiz Night in February, the Annual Charity Golf Day and the 19th Summer Evening Jazz Concert held in the grounds of Ingatestone Hall on Saturday 4th July.

Lord Petre of Ingatestone Hall, presented a cheque for £3,000 to Anne Brown  -  Head of Fundraising, St. Francis Hospice; a cheque for £3,000 to Pauline Harvey-Jones  - Commercial Director,  Farleigh Hospice, a cheque for £325 to David Weathersby, Unit Manager, Chelmsford Event Services Unit, 
   St. John Ambulance
and a cheque for £275 to Claire Penn (2476 Hutton Squadron - A.T.C.)

Lord Petre also presented cheques for £4,500 to Kate Alden, Fundraising Manager, The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity  and  for £500 to James McKenna - Family and Projects Manager, S.N.A.P. [Special Needs and Parents](from money raised at our Charity Golf Day in May)

Lord Petre also presented a cheque for £1,000 to John Burton, Support Group, Prostate Cancer UK ;
- a cheque for £1000 has already been posted to Rotary Foundation
(this money raised at our Charity Quiz Night in February)

Also a cheque for £500 will be posted to Essex + Herts Air Ambulance Trust
(from money raised at events during the year)
