Young Photographer Competition 2018

Our 2018 Winners:
Senior Winner Lucy Barton, Herne Bay High School.
Junior Winner True Rainbow, Briary Primary School.
Please contact Jane Furnival with any questions.

This is a 3-stage competition arranged annually under the auspices of Rotary International in Britain and Ireland. We have for several years arranged a local heat, but regret we will not be doing so for 2019.

The theme for the 2018 competition was "A Different Perspective".

......................................................

LUCY BARTON, Senior Winner from Herne Bay High School

“I used glasses to frame parts of an image and offer a different perspective on traditional images of towns and cities.  Photography is all about looking at things a different way and these images show part of the thought process behind finding interest in otherwise familiar places”

TRUE RAINBOW, Junior Winner from Briary Primary School

 1.        Bird – this is a perspective from a bird when it looks up from a tree

2.         Chick – I imagine this is a perspective of a chick once it’s hatched, it wants to see the world

3.          Fairy – this may be make believe but I imagine this is a perspective of a fairy
