District 1040 Conference "“ Scarborough

Fri, Oct 16th 2015 at 11:00 am- Sun, Oct 18th 2015 - 1:00 pm

A conference for all clubs within the 1040 Rotary district

The final programme and breakout sessions are now finalised, and the information under the Programme section will give you a great summary of our plans for an outstanding weekend of Rotary fun, friendship and inspiration. On Saturday we are putting the work of our International committee under the spotlight, with fascinating presentations on the projects which you all undertake in this area of focus. We shall have visitors from Nepal to update us on the ongoing efforts to help their country recover from the disasters earlier this year. The Fellowship Lunch will be followed by a presentation on a new re-homing project from Hope & Homes. On Sunday, keep an eye out for pirates! They'll be after pieces of eight for an exciting project in May, as district 1040 in the guise of Pickering Pirates and their vessel "Sweet Charity" invades the Mediterranean city of Venice.
