Supporting National Coastwatch - Torbay

NCI Torbay lookout at Daddyhole Plain, Torquay, relies upon voluntary contributions to help safeguard the lives of yachtsmen, fishermen, canoeists and other users of coastal waters.

On 4th September 2014 – A new Visitor Centre was opened at Torbay, Devon. Situated beside the NCI Torbay lookout at Daddyhole Plain, Torquay, the Centre was opened by Captain Henry Duffy, Commanding Officer of Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. 

The Centre, includes a working radar, CCTV and interactive systems that allow visitors to see what is happening along the coast and in the bay. It also provides a history of Torbay in pictures and has already attracted considerable interest from coastal walkers and holidaymakers.
