Competitors Testing their entry in a previous Rotary Technology Tournament

TheTournament allows different teams, each consisting of four students from local schools or colleges, interested in engineering and science the opportunity to compete in a one day event to devise and build a solution to an unseen technical task. Solutions are tested and judged against competing teams.

The aims and objectives of a Technology Tournament are:

  • To develop student’s interest in design, construction and technology
  • To encourage students to develop their team working skills whilst developing and building their solution to the task
Witney Rotary Club will host their first Technology Tournament in West Oxfordshire at Cokethorpe School on Thursday 23rd June 2016.

If you are a pupil at a local School, or the parent of young person with an interest in this area and want to  know more, contact Rotarian Brian Wright at Witney Rotary Club. Alternatively ask your Technology Teacher to make contact and find out what is involved.
