North of Scotland Senior Schools Public Speaking Competition

Final sponsored by Aberdeen St Fittick Rotary Club

This is one of the long standing events in the St Fittick diary with the Club having supported the event for over 20 years.

There are heats held in the Highlands and Aberdeen area and being in the final is an achievement in itself.

In the 2017 final were teams from Charleston Academy and Millburn Academy, both Inverness and St Margaret's School and Robert Gordon's College both Aberdeen.  The standard of presentation was of the highest level with topics covering "Device or Vice", "THe Mafia are the Good Guys", "Drama Lessons" and "World of Falsehoods"  and the appreciative audience was both entertained and enlightened.  All the presentations were well presented and included much umour which both the audience and judges appreciated.

In a close competition, the team from Robert Gordon's College came out the worthy winners.

Congratulations to them and to all the participants.

Here's to next year.
