Rotaract is a unique service organisation for younger people, typically 18 - 30 year olds, based on Rotary International's ethos of giving 'Service Above Self' within the local community while also having an international aspect - almost 200,000 members in some 170 countries, different cultures, races and creeds.

Each club is autonomous and organises its own activities, whether that be social, fundraising or a community project. They offer the members leadership opportunities, a new circle of friends, a great social life while developing personal and professional skills which can significantly enhance their c.v.'s.

We always seek to promote high ethical standards in our business and personal lives. One of the guiding principles that members of Rotary Clubs (Rotarians) endeavour to follow is The Four Way Test and this will also be part of Rotaract members(Rotaractors) lives.

The Four Way Test
In everything we say and do -

  1. Is it the TRUTH.
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned.
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned

Examples of some of the social activities can be seen by clicking on the pages to the right. Similarly examples of some of the projects you may get involved in are shown.

Typically Rotaract clubs meet twice a month and although what you've read above is fairly serious the essence of a good Rotaract Club is to have a whole lot of fun and excitement while you're doing it.
