Blessed with fine weather on both days the move to Castle Field, next door to Basingstoke Cricket Club, proved a great success. Attracting large crowds on both days it provided plenty of activities and entertainment throughout both days. Once again the Clive Fortune band provided live music at intervals on both days. Over twenty charity stalls were able to promote and raise funds for their organisations. There were a host of activities for children to enjoy including an array of fun games and activities, a Punch & Judy show, the Mucky Bucket petting farm and displays by local dance groups. The John Searle Funfair was also a great attraction.
It is anticipated that the event raised some £4,000 for good causes including Sebastian’s Action Trust.
