Rose Road ,which is President Lawrie’s major charity, gave us this event which enabled us to have a Spring fundraiser in place of the Horse or Cycle. The lunch at Chewton Glen included a glass of sparkling wine on arrival, a two course lunch and glass of wine followed by coffee and truffles. The guest speaker was Andy McIndoe who masterminded the well known Hilliers Garden entry at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show which has won a Gold Medal for 25 consecutive years.
The event was a great success with 106 present. The meal was excellent and Andy McIndoe was absolutely superb.
The rafffle raised £780 and an auction raised £720. The total raised for our President's charities was a fantastic £4,896.
Special thanks are due to Peter Harding from Questmap our sponsor and to Rotarian Alan Blair the organiser.
The picures were with the compliments of Rose Road.
