Rotary Christmas Events

Another busy but lovely Christmas for Rotary and all helpers

Baysgarth School Hall was full for the Rotary Christmas Concert

for OAP’s. They were entertained by The John Harrison School Choir from Barrow and Barton Town Band. Rotarians and their partners served refreshments to their guests who were also provided with transport to the hall.

Pip Bennett, the Tesco Community Services Champion (pictured with President David Blakey) attended and kindly provided a large raffle prize and boxes of mince pies.

Barton Rotary Club’s Christmas Events began with “Photos with Santa”. held in the Methodist Lecture Hall, when about 150 children were photographed. The event included Face Painting, refreshments  and a Teddy Bear Tombola staged by Trinity Church members.

We again organised a Christmas Tree Festival, held in the Chapel over the weekend.

Santas tour of the area included the streets of Barton, visits to South Ferriby, Bonby and Worlaby, with an extra visit to Worlaby Academy. He also helped Barton Rotarians with their collections outside the Co-operative and Tesco stores in Barton.
