December is always a busy time for members of Rotary Clubs and Hucknall rotarians are no exception. Christmas Festivities usually commence with the switch-on of Christmas lights in Hucknall, an event that has been organised by the club for over 20 years.
This year represented some changes as we, in conjunction with our partners, decided to hold an open-air Christmas Market instead of a fun fair on the market place. Local community groups were also invited to entertain the gathered crowds and David Stevenson, who recently appeared in the TV show "The Apprentice" and is from Hucknall assisted Phil Rostance in compering the acts.
Santa also made many appearances touring the streets of Hucknall on the Rotary sleight and also visited Fountaindale School, The Half Moon children's party and Hope Lea Project's Christmasparty.
