                                     “Dragons’ Den”  2018

Following the success of our “Dragons’ Den” event in May 2017 we plan to hold a further event in the style of the popular “Dragons’ Den” TV programme. Our three “Dragons” will be reputable individuals selected from the Salford business and service community.
All are independent of Worsley Rotary.

The date of this year’s event is Tuesday, 22nd May 2018.
The venue as in previous years will be the Walkden Legion Club, Wilfred Road, Walkden, M28 3AJ. Start time will be 7 pm.

Local groups based in the Salford postcode areas are invited to submit
their request to appear in front of the “Dragons” to bid for funds to support
a particular project.

Following initial consideration of all the applications received, selected applicants will be invited to the event and will have 3 to 5 minutes to
present
their case for funding.

To create a “level playing field” applicants will not be permitted the use of technology to support their bid (e.g PowerPoint).
A flip chart will be provided.

Please note that we do not expect to hear from a person trained in public speaking. We would much prefer to hear from someone closely involved with the work of the group making the application.

Following the completion of all presentations the “Dragons” will retire to consider their verdicts. Awards will be announced and presented on the night. Individual awards will not exceed £500.

The "Dragons" decision will
be final.

If you wish to apply, and I hope that you will, please email me at
tonjac@hotmail.co.uk and I will send you an Application Form.

Be not afraid the “Dragons” are very friendly!!.

Please note that we give no guarantee to help all Community Groups that apply but our aim is to spread our support as far as possible.
