Rotary Science

The Rotary Club of Crewe in cooperation with MMU (Cheshire) is holding a series of demonstrations on our galaxy and star gazing. The picture shows pupils from Beechwood primary school Crewe taking refreshments after their visit to the stars.

The STARLAB is a blow up dome in which the presenter shows a video from Tim Peak the British astronaut's space station It then goes on to show the audience the galaxy and demonstrates the signs of the zodiac within the stars. Various details concerning the planets are displayed and questions invited.Up to June 2016 over 700 parents and young people have visited. feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
