A Walk in the Park
A Walk in the Park
A good start to the New Year with a Walk in the Park.
It was a misty morning when we started out from Saville Gardens car park with Neil in the lead. The weather improved & it was very mild.
We went through the Deer Park & disturbed one fine specimen who limped off when he saw us coming.
Stopped at the Copper Horse for some refreshments, including a slice of excellent Christmas Cake provided by Freddie. Neil is sucking a sweet again.
Passed Cumberland Lodge & Cow Pond on the return journey.
Cow Pond was originally completed in the 18th Century but had since been left to overgrow. It has now been restored to its former glory.
Back to base camp & then off to Puntos for a well-earned lunch.
