The Ripley Event
Without doubt the best FREE Family Fun Day in Surrey This year howevere we shall be raising Funds to support the Fitting Out of Wloking & Sam Beare's new Hospice in Goldsworth Park. Further details of which can be found at: http://www.wsbhospices.co.uk/
Although this Event is FREE and proceeds from the Event will still be distributed within the Community, we will be making collections through the Day for Woking and Sam Beare's Hospice who are relocating to New and Larger Premises. The Villages of Ripley and Send will now be included within their catchment area. We would therefore ask you to support this initiative
Once again the sun shone for us with record crowds attending. The Ring Entertainment this year really was ring entertainment starting off with over 50 singers from Rock Choirs around the county. Not to be outdone the young dancers from the Summerscales School of Performing Arts quickly followed it up with a spectacular Finale.
After a breif respite it was the turn of the young runners complete with a sack race - all good fun and enjoyed by all. All of this was followed by demonstrations from the Surrey Hogs and Vintage and Classic Cars AND Tractors organised by the Rotary Club of Woking District.
Elsewhere the Stalls were doing a brisk trade as was the Local Tea Tent who were enjoying the Palm Court Jazz Band.
The chidren were of course kept enteretained by the Micky Mouse Bouncy Castle - all the way from Leicester and of course the Ice Cream Van. However it was the Dog Show that really got them going!
A big thank you has to be said to all of the Visitors who made a donation to the Woking and Sam Beare Hospices; and of course the many helpers who gave up their time to putthis magnificant show on again.
Planning for next years event will start again soon, if you can spare a few evenings a year and want to make sure this great tradion will continue why not complete the Form below - we really would like to hear from you
