Clean for the queen - photos and story

Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Aberdeen Balgownie and members of the Bridge of Don community carried out a litter collection as part of a UK wide campaign "Clean for The Queen" to celebrate the Queens's 90th birthday. The litter pick took place at Westfield Park in the Bridge of Don on Saturday 5th March, 2016.

Despite it being a very wet morning, the enthusiastic litter pickers went about their business and left the Park free of litter for the local community to enjoy.

Thanks go to all of the people who came along on a cold and wet day, St. Columba's Church of Scotland for providing a warm and dry place to meet and to dry out afterwards with coffee and tea, and Aberdeen City Council for providing all of the litter collection equipment.
