For several years now we have assisted Cancer Research UK (CRUK) by acting as Marshals at the Race for Life - this year to be held on the morning of Saturday 28th May. There are 2 races one of 5K and a second of 10 K. Both start at 11.00.
Last year the Jersey event raised £66,271 with 1357 participants.
Marshals who have participated previously will be particularly welcome, but any new volunteers will be briefed and made most welcome. Jenny and Sam from CRUK have visited Jersey on a recce but not been involved with the Jersey event in previous years - hence the need for 'seasoned' support if possible.
In total we aim to provide some 14 Marshals from the two Clubs, but a few more would not go amiss, as there are other roles to fill.
In past years this has been a most enjoyable occasion with the great benefit of supporting a really good community event. So, do sign up on the attached form.
