Last Thursday the Rotary Club of Motherwell and Wishaw had two speakers from Commsworld Ricky Nicol, their CEO, from Edinburgh, and Graham St John, the CFO, who is the son of Past President Ian St John. Commsworld was founded in 1994 and is Scotland’s leading Telecommunications Network Services Provider, supplying customers with a full range of integrated communications solutions.
Whilst it started life as very much a telephone systems provider, over its lifespan, the company recognised the growing requirement for the convergence of voice and data and, from 1999, started to introduce Wide Area Network solutions into their portfolio of support for their clients. Commsworld have invested heavily in the state-of-the-art fluency network which spans the length and breadth of the UK. This is designed to deliver low latency Wide Area Network performance to their clients. With a strong client base and pedigree in the total communications solutions portfolio, supported by excellent Service and Support and ISO accreditations, Commsworld are ideally positioned to enable businesses to achieve growth through the adoption of super-fast connectivity.
Recently, Commsworld entered a strategic partnership with CityFibre to deliver a Gigabit City project in Edinburgh where a city-wide pure fibre network will bring world-class connectivity and benefits of gigabit speeds to every aspect of the city’s communications.
Commsworld's mission is to become the market leading network and communications solutions provider of choice as a trusted partner, based on a superior service level for the Scottish business community. Both men responded very positively to the many questions put to them the members present.
