Supporting the Smoke Alarm Project
The Fire Alert project, started in 2013 within Suffolk by the Rotary Club of Stowmarket Gipping Valley, has been extended into Norfolk and Suffolk. The Rotary Club of Lowestoft East point has supported this initiative and will continue to do so. To many people die or get injured in the home. The project is currently being aimed at the elderly and vulnerable people in the community.
'THE ALARM OF CHOICE The Fire Angel Thermoptek ST- 620 (pictured) is the model recommended and fitted by the majority of UK fire services. The ground-breaking Thermoptek technology combines the very latest in optical sensing with thermal enhancement, providing fast reaction to both slow smouldering and fast flaming fires in a single alarm. It has a sealed lithium power pack which will power the alarm for 10 years. Gone are the days when homeowners installed alarms and then forgot to replace batteries. The Fire Angel range also includes a number of specialist sensory alarms. These are installed by fire and rescue services in a minority of cases where standard alarms do not provide sufficient warning for those who are visually and/or hearing impaired. More details about the Fire Alert project and up-to-date information can be found on the Gipping Valley club’s standalone website www.rotaryhomesafety.co.uk.'
