March Rotary Get Busy With Brushes

at Peter English's

A long time and respected member of March Rotary casually asked if someone could assist him in refurbishment of his wooden garden furniture and decking. Due to ill health he felt it might be a little beyond his abilities at the moment.

Word went round, and in a typical Rotary way, on fine Monday morning in July, a third of the membership turned up to assist. Armed with brushes, pots, rags etc, they set too with a will. Much friendly banter ensued, the World was put to rights, with politics and sport getting it ‘in the neck’.

In less than two hours the pleasant task was completed, to the satisfaction of all concerned.  A glass of ale, Adam’s or  Adnam’s rounded off the morning.
