Charity Fun Run in Lydiard Park

Fun Run & Monster March

Miss Wiltshire, Georgia Holmes, was our official starter of the 3rd Lydiard Rotary Fun Run and Monster March on 23rd October 2016 which raised money for Brighter Futures, the Radiotherapy Appeal. 
This was a joint effort by the two RWB Rotary Clubs supported by Swindon Phoenix Rotary Club and RWB Probus Club.  With all that support, we were able to marshal the whole course and keep the runners on the right track throughout.  We also provided a warm up session and 'Bob's Burger Bar' to motivate the starters and restore the finishers.  Nearly 200 runners and walkers raised around £2,000 for Brighter Futures.

• 1st    Toby Newton Shaw in 24 mins 10 secs

• 1st     Liffey Daniels in 24 mins 38 secs


10K    Men

• 1st     Michael Passmore in 38 mins 17 secs (an outstanding time)

10K    Ladies

• 1st     Ella Luffman in 50 mins 12 secs
• Lisa Uttling was the first of the Brighter Futures Team to come in with a time of 61 mins 45 secs.
