The Finalists and Highly Commended

We have run, for 6 years, a Young Writer competition. See how we do it in a video from the 2012 competition.

2016 had over 100 entrants with a very high standard, with our winner going on to win the District competition.

Four Marks and Medstead Rotary have organised another successful Young Writer and Young Photographer competition in four local primary schools - Chawton, Four Marks, Medstead and St. Mary's Bentworth. The big news is that the two winners have gone on to win the Wessex district competitions, and are in the running for national recognition. The theme for both competitions was 'Reflection', and the judges acclaimed the high standards reached. There were 187 entries from the four schools for the Young Writer competition, and the winner was Mary Vitoria from Chawton School. There were 60 entries in the photography competition and the winner was Charlie Elford-Pond of Four Marks. Congratulations to all the local finalists, and special congratulations to Mary and Charlie for then succeeding at the Wessex district contests - and best wishes to them in the national finals.
