Russia Projects
1st Project.
As members are aware we hope to raise some funds for our twin club The Rotary Club of Hengelo Driene towards their Russian project at our 20th Charter Anniversary night on 21st April.
The funds are required to help the orphanage situated in Opocka to renovate the children’s banja (bathroom). The banja is built, but has no inner walls, tiles, showers, or other fittings. 2nd Project
Some while ago an appeal was made by the RC of Hengelo Driene for us to support an application to RI Foundation for a grant to fund furniture and fittings for two orphanages that they sponsor ( Nevel and Opocka). We agreed to support this with a grant. I am pleased to say that the application to RI has been successful. Funding is from RC Steinfurt and RC Pskov and District 1560. RC Pskov are currently working on the project and hope to report back to all contributors shortly.
