Saturday 24th – Eccleshall Central

1.    Start on Green Lane Stafford Road end.

2.    Right into Green Park (Cul-de-Sac).

3.    Continue along Green Lane then right to Linacre Rd.

4.    Left into Beech Road (T junction at end leads to 2 cul de sacs with no turning spaces. Reverse in drive out)

5.    Back to Linacre Road turn left, down hill.

6.    Right into CLAREMONT ROAD including POPLAR CLOSE.

7.    Right down LINACRE ROAD (Already done)

8.    Left down Stafford Road (no collecting).

9.    Left at roundabout into Horsefair (no collecting).

10.Left into Spring Hollow (CdeS).

11.Left upNewport Road (no collecting).

12.Left into Southwell Estate.

13.Collectors walk through to Greenway/Caroline Court at top. Sleigh drive round to meet them.

14.Back along Green Lane towards Badger (as was). Cross Newport Road into Cross Butts.

15.Left into Romford Meadow.

16.Right into Campion Close (CdeS).

17.Continue along Romford Meadow into Mallow Close.

18.Return to Cross Butts and over Newport Rd to Green Lane.

19.Do section on Green Lane from Greenway to Linacre that was missed earlier.

As from August 2019 the management of Eccleshall Library was taken on by ECCLESHALL MERCIA COMMUNITY LIBRARY CIC. The formation of the CIC was carried out by members of The Rotary Club of Eccleshall Mercia.

Earhquake damage at Bojhpur

In 2017 our Club together with Stafford, Stafford Knot and Stafford Castle Clubs held a fund raising lunch provided by the Ghurkas. The funds raised were to go towards the reconstruction of a school in the Bhojpur Municipality.

The Bells at Holy Trinity Church, Eccleshall

The bellringers at the church gave a warm welcome to a group of members and guests, told us about the history of the bells (some installed as far back as 1710) and gave the opportunity to try out bell ringing. A visit was also made to inspect the bells,
