Bishop's Offely girl tells us how it is in parts of rural Africa
Local girl Claire Hemingway has just returned from Ghana and gave a great account to our Rotary Club members last night of her work in Malawi & Ghana during summer breaks from her Uni studies in 2015 and 2016.
The Rotary Club gave Claire some modest financial support for these projects. We heard of the way in which in Malawi she worked to broaden the horizons and outlook of young women, and local communities, and in Ghana working with malnutrition projects to improve the health of young mothers and babies. (We need to be reminded of the levels of deprivation amongst so many communities in Africa in the 21st century.)
