When the RotaKids of Grange C of E Primary School joined with us for lunch..

Wed 7th December 2016 at 12.15 - 14.15

The RotaKids of Grange Primary School joined us for lunch as planned and was a great success and afterwards gathered around the hotel's piano for some wonderful carol singing accompanied by our own Club Member Rtn. Ray Booth.

What is, or are, RotaKids?

It is the official Rotary structure run by local Rotary Clubs that facilitates an exciting way for students 12 and under to lead and engage in important, lively activities that will make a positive difference in their school, in their local community and global development. At the same time RotaKids develops the ability and confidence to take up their place in society as responsible, successful, effective citizens both now and in the future.

This year The Rotary Club of Grange-over-Sands started its first RotaKids group at Grange Church of England Primary School with 14 pupils taking part under the leadership of teacher Mrs Jamieson together with Rotarians Ken Thompson and Ray Booth. On 7th December they were invited to attend a special Christmas lunch meeting with us at The Netherwood Hotel where they were presented with RotaKids tabards and an individual certificate to mark their involvement.

The afternoon ended with carols sung beautifully around the piano.
