We are part of the Community

Community members working for a better world, 'People of Action'

Community Service is one of the mainstays of Rotary Service and it helps Rotarians to plan and undertake projects that will help to improve the lives of people of all ages, abilities and diverse needs in our community. Amongst the many regular local and national projects undertaken we are raising awareness of and improving the local environment. We are sure you’ve seen the wonderful roundabout planter we manage, we’re improving literacy –  Year 6 pupils leave school with a dictionary presented by Rotary at their leavers assembly, we help raise awareness of health issues, support the local foodbank, plus support many local groups financially with small grants, awards or gifts.

From time to time there is also a need for us to promote projects for local emergencies and disaster situations such as the recent flooding in various parts of the country.

if you are a group in the community who would like to help us achieve more or have an idea how we can help you please get in touch.
