Dinner at Victoria Barracks
Dinner at Victoria Barracks to make donations to Prince Philip Trust
REWARDING TO BE IN ROTARY’!’ Windsor & Eton Rotary Club
Well done to all the Clubs Members that helped to achieve this!
During this past year the Rotary Club of Windsor and Eton working closely with ‘The Prince Philip Trust’ Fund has raised an impressive amount exceeding £46,000+!
The cheques for the donations were presented by Windsor & Eton Rotary Club member and Trust Trustee Andrew Panter to HRH The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex the Chairman of the Trustees of the Trust at a special Dinner for over sixty invited guests on Friday, 18 November at The Victoria Barracks, Windsor.
This is particularly significant as the fund donates the money specifically in the area of Windsor and Maidenhead to local causes. The money was created through two major events. A unique Race Day event at Ascot Racecourse which included an auction and raised the sum of £42,553.25 and in July, linked with The Windsor & Eton Opera Company to present a Royal Gala Opera evening. The proceeds from this achieving £3,800.42.
Richard Kidson – President of The Windsor & Eton Rotary Club commented “This is a truly worthy cause as specifically only our local organisations will gain all the financial benefits we have achieved. The Club will continue to work with the ‘Prince Philip Trust’ to hopefully carry on to be able to make such major donations possible in the future”
