Loddon Brewery Visit

Our members and some guests boarded a coach to venture
into the darkest corners of Oxfordshire just over the water
of the Thames beyond Sonning, to visit our local small brewery
at Dunsden Green, Oxfordshire.

The Loddon Brewery

Chris Hearn of the brewery was most welcoming and offered us
a choice of 7 different beers to sample as we wished,
(all the ones I tried were most easy on the palate)

The brewery tour was most interesting, though Chris tried
his best to lessen our desire for his beers by describing
various additions to the brewing process. Some would have
sounded more appropriate to the cauldren of the test pilots
from the local broomstick factory. All his efforts were in
vain however, as everyone seemed quite happy to continue sampling
the different beers. I think the accuracy of the temperature
control and timing to achieve a consistent product surprised
us all.

The fish and chips arrived to general approval, as they were
superb. (The Emmer Green Chip Shop we were told).
