Eradication of Polio 2016

Nine thousand children will be immunised against the crippling disease of Polio, due to the generosity of people in the Barton area

Barton Rotary Club members recently organised a collection with the help of Tesco and also near the Central Surgery in King Street, plus a Coffee Morning at Trinity Methodist Church. This, together with an earlier collection, raised £600 as part of the Rotary International’s 30 year effort to eradicate Polio. For each pound raised, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donates an additional two pounds. Each child costs just 20p to protect.
