2006-July - Greek Night at Tony Perryman's.


The world cup — its first game was coming to its boring conclusion. When in the background a Greek bouzouki commenced its melodic tones, The smell of soulavki wafted through the air as it grilled slowly on the barbecue.

 

The sun was shining people arrived in their shorts and sandals. Zorba the Greek echoed out across the garden as George the Greek bouzouki player twanged away winking at the ladies. The scene was set for a right good do.

 

The menu was authentic Greek the guests were from Yorkshire and the weather was distinctly Mediterranean. Forty three people sat and ate and drank and drank and ate and were entertained. And raised nearly £300 for youth activities and ad a reet good time. Effgaristo - that's greek tha knows for Ta
