More Bulb Planting for Purple4Polio

Local Schools plant purple crocus bulbs in Purple4Polio

As part of the continuing campaign of raising awareness of Rotary International's part in the final fight to eradicate polio, pupils of Craig y don school, Ysgol San Sior and Ysgol Fford Dyffryn helped Llandudno Rotary by planting thousands of purple crocuses during the last week of January.  Our picture shows two of Ysgol San Sior's finest concentrating on the work in hand!  Thanks to all the boys and girls yaking part in this important task, and learning more about how the fight against polio is being won.

Llandudno Rotary is supporting Rotary's Purple4Polio campaign by donating thousands of purple crocus bulbs to the local community.  In addition to the primary schools, bulbs have been planted in Craig y don park and in Rowen.  Purple crocuses have been chosen as the colour represents the dye painted on the finger of each child that receives a polio vaccination during the international campaigns.
