President's Evening and Handover.

Mon, Jul 2nd 2018 at 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm

On Monday 2nd July we held our combined President’s Evening and Changeover. This was a celebration of Bryan Woodriff’s year as Club President and a ceremony to hand over the chain of office to Eva Peters as the new Club President for 2018/19.
We were delighted to have David Richardson, President of the Probus Club of Twickenham and Dr Tania Mathias as our official guests. We were also joined by members’ spouses and partners, friends from local Rotary clubs and other friends and guests.
After her investiture as Club President, Eva had the pleasure of inducting Simon Douglas Lane as her Vice President for the year and our first new member of 2018/19, Jonathan Marten, (who coincidentally happens to be Eva’s husband!)
Eva is one of our most hard working members and in a surprise presentation was given the “Pindi Tamana Service Above Self Award”. This honour is determined by a secret ballot of all members of the club and presented by Honorary Member Len Smith.
