Who's into video games and technology? Apparently, 40 million people play video games!
Well, if you are, then think of those kids or people with disabilities who can't join in because they can't use the gaming equipment. Ben used to get annoyed seeing his friends play and he couldn't join in because of his spinal muscular atrophy.
Well, he can now thanks to 'SpecialEffect', a charity that's based near Oxford. A unique charity that is changing people's lives.
Lewis with a degenerative disorder, can now use Eye Gaze technology to switch on the Tv and watch the programmes he wants to.
Charlotte, who had meningitis at the age of 4 can now do most things her friends can and is getting to be an expert at Minecraft.
We were moved to see short video clips of some of the young people, and even adults, who have suffered from a stroke, being able to do amazing things with video gaming and beating other people, who have no idea who they are playing against online.
This charity was brought to our attention by Kenilworth School Interact, who raised funds for them. We have followed their lead and made a further small contribution to help SpecialEffect cover their costs.
Thank you Mark for your talk.
