BAND CONCERT IN SANDAL METHODIST CHURCH

Nearly 100 people gathered in the Sandal Methodist Church to hear a concert by the Wakefield Metropolitan Brass Band under the direction of Richard Larder

The concert, organised by Ray Spencer from the Rotary Club of Wakefield Chantry, is now in its 10th year having raised over £10,000 to support both the band and the Rotary Club local charities. This years’ concert raised over £1000. Solo’s by Alison Ingram on Cornet (Nessun Dorma), Louise Crook, pictured (Rhapsody on the Euphonium) and Damian Hall, on Trombone, (Ella Fitzgeralds’ Cry Me a River) kept the audience enthralled and made the concert one to remember.
