President's Weekend

Fri, Sep 22nd 2017 at 10:00 am- Sun, Sep 24th 2017 - 2:00 pm

President Jackie will be taking us to Llandudno.

The President's weekend from 22nd to the 24th September 2017 is to be based in Llandudno, Wales’s largest and most popular resort.  Set beneath the glorious foothills of Snowdonia and occupying spectacular views out to sea, the town is uniquely situated between the Great and Little Ormes on the coast of undoubtedly one of the most beautiful settings within the British Isles.  It is a town of distinct character with a wonderfully preserved promenade, delightful shopping parade plus an abundance of daytime activities and evening entertainment.  Across the estuary is medieval Conwy, a world heritage site, with its magnificent castle, picture postcard harbour and historic buildings.

Members and partners are invited to join in the District 1070 Conference being held in the “Venue Cymru”, situated in a unique and outstanding sea-front location on the long crescent promenade of Llandudno which never fails to charm

There is a programme of activities for registered delegates that include: FRIDAY NIGHT IS ….VARIETY NIGHT” being held in the Theatre.  On Saturday, the morning session runs from 9am till 1pm and will feature a series of brilliant and inspirational speakers.  Saturday evening there is a dinner at the ARENA followed by the Dance & Cabaret of the year featuring a JERSEY BOYS tribute band.  Sunday morning will see more interesting speakers, commencing with “Thought for the Day” in the Theatre at 9.15am.

Everyone can dip in and out of the events and activities, but I would enjoy the pleasure of your company at the Saturday night dinner.  Both on Saturday and Sunday there will be visits to local attractions using the coach and time to enjoy the sights and pleasures of visiting such a beautiful Welsh coastal resort.
