Roger Westlake Bridge Trophy

Memorial Bridge Competition for the Roger Westlake Bridge Trophy

Memorial Bridge Competition for the

Roger Westlake Bridge Trophy

Roger was a very active member of our Club for over 40 years, a Paul Harris Fellow, dentist, magistrate, family man and much more. He was President of our Club in 1976 – 1977, at the young age of 38!

Sadly, he died on 21 March 2015, as a result of an illness contracted some time earlier, while acting as a Rotary Volunteer in Guatemala.

Roger was a keen Bridge player, and delighted in passing on his knowledge to Rotarians and others.  Following his death, this competition was set up in his memory.  The inaugural competition was organised by Angela Westlake and held at her home in February 2016.

Future competitions are organised by the previous year’s winners.
