Planting of Crocus bulbs to support the End Polio Campaign

Across the country, Rotarians have been involved in planting purple crocuses to raise awareness of the End Polio campaign.   Members of the Kenilworth School Interact Club recently planted 5,000 crocus bulbs at the Holiday Inn in Kenilworth.

The crocuses, which were purchased by a group of our corporate members, are expected to flower in the spring, the youngsters have promised to return to see the results of the hard work!

Profits from the sale of the Rotary crocuses, produced by the RHS, will fund polio vaccinations, with donations being 'double matched' from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.   Thanks to the efforts of the Interact Club, over 1250 children will receive polio vaccinations.
