OUR CAROLS AND COLLECTIONS AT CHRISTMAS 2017

Mon, Dec 18th 2017 at 12:00 am- Sat, Dec 23rd 2017 - 12:00 am

ONE EVENING OF CAROLS PLUS TWO DAYS COLLECTING AT ASDA AND THEN THREE DAYS AT MORRISONS. GOOD FUN AND VERY SUCCESSFUL. A BUSY ROTARY WEEK ORGANISED BY TONY. RESULT, REPORT AND PICTURES BELOW.

Well done everybody and thank you Asda and Morrisons.. Report and pictures below

We had six busy days, starting withe the 'choir' on Monday evening. It was extremely cold in the foyer and the choir started to shiver and then Asda came up trumps and invited us inside the main store. We even had two members of staff holding buckets. That's service for you. We set off afterwards to The New Forest Hotel at Ashurst Bridge and enjoyed a cionvivial meal.

The three days of collections at Morrisons were in the foyer as usual and went very well. The Friday morning was extremely busy with queues to get into the car park.

A special well done goes to Tony who coordinated the whole week. It went smoothly and the result was a big success for our three President's Charities. Tony said, "The final result was £4,305 to include Gift Aid. I would like to thank everyone able to give up their time to help and particularly Ken and Sally who this year took on the counting as well as manning all but one of the end of day sessions. Several were able to do two or more shifts"
