Richard is chairman of Maidenhead Waterways, a charity set up to restore and enlarge the old waterways that run through Maidenhead town centre. The project is one of the key elements of the Royal Borough's plan to rejuvenate the town centre. Already largely completed, the works will continue through most of 2017, followed by installation of the weir that will lift the water level to fill the newly enlarged channels.
