A walk from Northampton to the Greyhound at Milton Malsor, along the canal for all Club members

CLUB WALK

SATURDAY 13 MAY 2017

FINISHING AT “THE GREYHOUND”

Towcester Road, Milton Malsor, Northampton NN7 3AP

Tel: 01604 858449

While this walk has been organised for the Satellite Group it is, of course, open to all Club Members and friends.

It is in two parts, along the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal.

1. The fit and eager will start from Becket's Park by the Marina and walk to Hunsbury Meadows / West Hunsbury with a 9.30 am start - that’s approx 2.5 miles through Northampton for a very different perspective to…...

2. Hunsbury Meadows / West Hunsbury, where other walkers can join the group at 10.45 (meet at the Lock) and continue for approx 3.5 miles, to the main Junction and then to the Greyhound at Milton Malsor for lunch at around 12.30 for 1pm..  (There’s an option to divert early to the Greyhound, for the less ambulant)

The total walk is about 6 miles from the Marina to the Greyhound

We live in West Hunsbury, about 10 minutes walk from the Canal meeting point and people can park with us, or park in Hunsbury Meadows - there is some limited parking near the canal within the estate.

This walk replaces the usual Thursday Club walk for May, and is organised for the Satellite Group members who can't walk on Thursdays, so it's open to all Club members and walking friends.  As it's a one way walk (from both starting points) travel arrangements will need to be made, if you wish to get home from the pub!

Any questions to Stephen, please.
