The Club was delighted to welcome to lunch the new District Governor, Rotarian Len Burns, on Thursday 3rd August. Rtn Len was accompanied by three members of the Newcastle Club, our mother club. He gave an illuminating and refreshing view of the way he sees Rotary moving forward and offered some interesting suggestions on how clubs can form satellite clubs with a view to attracting new, younger members. We look forward to welcoming him back later in the Rotary Year for our Charter Night and for Rtn Ed Kear's President's Night.
Cogratulations to Martin as he receives the Paul harris Fellowship Award from President Ed Kear.
