Visit of District Governor Elect of Rotary District 1080,

District Governor Elect of Rotary Dictrict 1080 Robert Lovick made a visit to The Rotary Club of Kings Lynn on Monday 15th May 2017 to outline is plans and ambitions for his forthcoming year of office as District Governor which he takes up next month.

District Governor Elect of Rotary Dictrict 1080 Robert Lovick made a visit to The Rotary Club of Kings Lynn on Monday 15th May 2017 to outline is plans and ambitions for his forthcoming year of office as District Governor which he takes up next month.

As a retired Police Officer with 30 years of service and an experienced Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Great Yarmouth Haven, Robert is well equipped to take on the role District Governor, a demanding position requiring leadership, foresight, energy and the ability to inspire and enthuse the members of Rotary in District 1080 to promote and further the aims and perception of the Rotary Movement.

Like many service organisations, membership retention and expansion is essential and Robert makes it quite clear that he wishes to make the community at large more aware of the work and aims of Rotary and to attract new members.

He is determined to show that Rotary is not just an old man's club, but a vibrant and active international movement made of of men and women of all ages who have the desire to improve the lives of others.

The Rotary motto of "Service before Self" is no idle phrase as it is the foundation of what the Rotary movement is all about.

Robert is looking forward to his year as District Governor with great anticipation with the single minded aim of improving what Rotary does and how it is perceived.

Following Robart's visit one member of the Rotary Club of King's Lynn was heard to say "A nice bloke, with a great ambition for Rotary".
