Members of the Rotary Club of Durham Bede held their President's Night at the Masonic Hall in Old Elvet, Durham City on Saturday 6 May.

Members of the Rotary Club of Durham Bede held their President's Night at the Masonic Hall in Old Elvet, Durham City on Saturday 6th May.

The official guests included the Mayor, councillor Eddie Bell and the Mayoress councillor Jennifer Bell. The President of the club Rtn John Wilkinson, was delighted to also welcome the Rotary District Govenor Rtn Peter Chandler and Agnes Delanoy President of the Inner Wheel.

After the meal of trio of melon, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding and Eton Mess Rotarians Clive Beddoes and Harold Robson were presented with a Paul Harris Fellow, Rotary International's highest award, by the District Govenor.

The night concluded with the Foolsgold Acoustic duo entertaining the audience with terrific stories and songs. They will definately be invited back in the near future.

A wonderful night was had by all.
