A Great Visit to Orkney

The Rotary Club of Orkney celebrated their 50th Charter dinner and held a wonderful weekend of Fellowship and Activity culminating with a superb formal dinner in Kirkwall.  Several East Sutherland members, led by President John Chambers, helped them celebrate this auspicious occasion.  The East Sutherland members also added a few days holiday to the event enabling them to visit the historic archaeological investigations, enjoy some bird watching or the friend ship of our northern Rotary cousins.  All talked warmly of the hospitality and the fun they had.  If we can make our 30th Charter as good in 2 years time or achieve the continued success that Orkney demonstrated then East Sutherland will truly have a great legacy.  A short history of the Club can be viewed HERE
