Group responsible for speaker - Foundation & International

An investment of £45.303m in the merger of Kilmarnock Academy, James Hamilton Academy, New Farm Primary and Early Childhood Centre, Silverwood Primary and 2-18 provision for Gaelic education, will result in the development of a new state-of-the-art learning environment for children and young people as well as flexible facilities for the community. The new build has been named William McIlvanney Campus and is located on the site of the existing James Hamilton Academy and New Farm Primary and Early Childhood Centre on Sutherland Drive, Kilmarnock.

We will be visiting the new Campus on Thursday 10th May for a guided tour. Food will be provided, cost our usual £12, will be donated to the Provost's charity, Prostate Cancer UK

Members should enter the Campus by the Main Entrance, arrival time is 6.30pm. David Rose, Head Teacher of the Secondary School, and Diane Wright, Head Teacher of the Primary School and Early Childhood Centre, will both be there on the night to talk to us about the Campus and take us on a tour of the building. Fiona Lees, Chief Executive, East Ayrshire Council, will also be in attendance.

Following the tour a two course meal, prepared by East Ayrshire Council's On-Site Services, will be served in one of the rooms on the ground floor.

This is a one-off opportunity for members and guests to view the new Campus with Head Teachers David and Diane - not to be missed!

There is an Attendance Sheet circulating at Club Meetings. Please mark the sheet to indicate numbers attending as we need to let them know for catering purposes by 3rd May. Please also let George English know if there are any special dietary requirements. You can also email George should you be unable, or forget, to mark the sheet...
