In particular, they wished to thank Immediate Past Club President Stephen Kirkman for choosing to support Croydon Vision during his term of office in 2016-2017.

With the help of Rotary Club members, more than £6,000 was raised to purchase two machines for recording Talking Newspapers on to USB memory sticks. Each machine records eight copies at one time.

The Croydon Talking Newspaper reaches around 130 blind and visually impaired people in the local area. Croydon Vision’s CEO, Jeff Page, said “The new equipment has already improved production and distribution delivery times. Nearly all recipients have now moved to using USB or boombox. We are grateful to the members and friends of Croydon Rotary for their support".
