Enjoying Kids Out

A Fun Day with Rotary and

KidsOut

Every year, Rotary teams up with KidsOut for the National Rotary KidsOut Day, giving thousands of disadvantaged children the chance to experience fun trips and days out, and 2017 was no different. Over the last 25 years, this collaboration has allowed over 650,000 children to visit theme parks, activity centres and seaside resorts across Great Britain, with Rotary clubs helping to organise, fund and facilitate the trips. Rotary members are committed to giving back to their community and providing opportunities for young people to have fun and unlock their potential.

Knaresborough Rotary Club was one of many clubs in Yorkshire to participate talking 29 children and 24 staff from Forest School to Lightwater Valley for the day.

Knaresborough Rotarians Leslie Couldwell, Jenny Hunter, Mike Wilkins and John Cook were on hand to give support on a gloriously sunny day which was much enjoyed by all participants.

Phil Bunting, Deputy Head at The Forest School said, “Many thanks to the Rotarians who once again, have provided a thoroughly enjoyable experience for our young people at The Forest School. The feedback from staff and pupils was as always, very positive.  I do hope that the Rotarians who gave up their time to support this wonderful venture, enjoyed it as much as our children who were still enthusing about their experiences days later”.
